Our Learning in Autumn Term

In English, we will be following The Write Stuff, focusing our learning around the book 'The Friendship Bench' and writing a narrative.
In reading, we will be focusing on prosody and the key reading skills (our VIPERS):

| In Art, we will be exploring 'Painting and Mixed Media: Life in Colour'. | In DT, we will be exploring the questions, 'What does healthy mean?' and 'How can you repurpose an item of clothing?'. |
| Computing | Geography |
| In Computing we will be learning about computing systems around us and we will be studying digital photography. | In geography, we will be revisiting our learning from Year 1, studying local human and physical geography features and beginning our learning on London and Nairobi. |

| In history this term, we will be studying The Great Fire of London. | In music, we will be learning and performing Hands, Feet, Heart. |
| PSHE | Religious Education |
| In PSHE we will be looking at rights, rules and relationships and family and friends. | In R.E. we will be looking at Christianity and exploring the following: 'Is it possible to be kind to everyone all of the time?' 'Why do Christians believe God gave Jesus to the world?' |
