School Meals
Lunchtimes are a really fun part of the school day with lots of different delicious and healthy foods for your child to enjoy.
Our school's catering provider is Chartwells. They are the leading provider of catering services to schools across the country. Their philosophy is Eat, Learn, Live which aims to educate young people about how to lead a happy, safe and healthy lifestyle while contributing to a sustainable world.
Each meal is freshly prepared every day and you can be assured that a school meal will offer, two portions of fruit and vegetables, a dairy food item rich in calcium for strong bones and teeth, starchy carbohydrate to provide energy and a protein source to support the body's growth and repair.
Ordering
A breakdown of the prices of school meals are as follows:
Daily - £2.35
Weekly - £11.75
Monthly - £47.00
We kindly ask that parents pre-pay for their child's meals on the Parent Portal, should they wish to have them.
If you are having difficulty paying for school meals then please see Mrs Whitwell or Mrs Latter in the school office or Mrs Segust the headteacher.
Free School Meals
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2Free School Meals are available for every child in the UK in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
This means that if your child attends one of these year groups they are entitled to a delicious healthy meal free of charge every lunchtime
There are lots of tasty options to choose from and should you child have a specific dietary requirement, this can be organised with the school chef.
Children in Years 3 to 6
Your child may continue to be entitled to nutritious free school meals beyond year 2, dependant on whether are in receipt of specific benefits as outlined by the Department of Education.
