PIANO LESSONS
Piano lessons are run by Mrs Morgan on Thursdays during school hours which last for 20 minutes per session. Timings of lessons are rotated to ensure that each student does not miss any key lessons in the classroom. The aim is for pupils to reach Grade 1 Level in the space of a year. Mrs Morgan uses the FW1 teaching books and once the basic skills have been mastered, pupils are welcome to take exams or just play for fun!
To get in touch with Mrs Morgan regarding piano lessons please email: gperry@soham-college.org.uk
GUITAR LESSONS
Guitar lessons take place every Tuesday and are usually taught in small groups of three, for 30 minutes per session. Children start off by learning the basics and playing simple songs that they are familiar with (as well as learning to write their own music!) and progress to working towards graded guitar exams, accredited by the London College of Music. Lessons are £71.50 per term, with an average of 11 lessons per term, spread out over the course of the school year (this works out, nominally, as £6.50 per lesson). Lessons are taught by Stuart Masters, a qualified teacher (QTS) and performing musician, with a number of years of experience.
