The Royal Visit

On Thursday 3rd November, the Queen came to Newmarket! During her visit, she unveiled a statue of herself with thoroughbred horses (to mark her 90th birthday) and opened a horse racing heritage centre.

The Queen

Our School Council went along to join the crowds, with Mrs Hunt and Mr Ratcliffe, and represented our school. They waved flags at her as she drove past them.

Afterwards, we were welcomed to Houldsworth Valley Primary School where we ate lunch and made some new friends. What a wonderful morning.
